New Stock

The team at Mad About Plants has developed a new plant species for registration under Plant Breeders Rights (PBR), which was released in 2004. Without education from the Certificate III in Horticulture, staff would never have noticed or recognised the irregularity in the parent plant which lead to the development of this new species.

Phyllanthus cuscutiflorus 'Humdinger'

• Description: A hardy and fast growing, evergreen bushy shrub.
• Foliage: Dense, soft green foliage with flushes of brilliant burgundy new growth.
• Flowers: A striking display of small burgundy flowers borne in profusion on short stalks in spring and summer.
• Cultivation: Thrives in a wide range of soils and conditions, preferring moist, well-drained soil.
• Uses: The foliage remains dense to ground level and makes an excellent screen or topiary for suburban gardens, parks and landscapes.
• Height: 3-4metres Width 2-4metres
